Sean Kingston may not be the first one the world thinks about when it comes to Jamaican artists, but the “Beautiful Girls” musician has created quite a few hits over the years to be considered a good Jamaican artist. Today, Kingston released a new single called “Ecstacy,” which features Young Money’s Tyga. As reported by vibe.com:
“Sean Kingston and Tyga pop an addictive new track into your system with ‘Ecstacy.’ It’s Flashback Friday as the song comes equipped with a sample from Grace Jones’ 1982 jawn ‘My Jamaican Guy,’ more prominently known on LL Cool J’s X-rated smash ‘Doin’ It.’ “
A different version of the song was on Kingston’s “Back 2 Life” album. However this version, which is more dance hall influenced, didn’t make the album. But Kingston still thought it was worth releasing so that his fans could enjoy the record.
