It’s one thing that we get another awards show that we can watch with our friends, ogle over red-carpet fashion and vote with all our might for our favorite band. But now that iHeartRadio announced the performers for its first-ever awards show, we’re more excited than ever to see the celebs in action … especially now that we know people like Drake and Ariana Grande will be there.
Drake, Grande, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Pharrell, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Arcade Fire, Pitbull, Shakira and Thirty Seconds to Mars were announced as performers Monday.
On May 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, fans can see those performers and appearances by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Steven Tyler, Imagine Dragons, Chris Martin, Lorde, Demi Lovato and more. Justin Timberlake and Rihanna lead the nominations.
The night will focus around Los Angeles, where many of the stars attending got their start. The celebs will tell their “L.A. story” — what brought them to and through the City of Angels and how it helped make their careers.
The whole thing is going down at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium and will feature special performances from The Roxy and the Hotel Café.
Voting for the nominees continues until Friday. Go to iHeart’s website to vote for your favorite artists.
