50 Cent is working overtime to promote his upcoming album “Animal Ambition.” He has released a slew of new singles and accompanying videos over the past few weeks, and his latest video, “Hustler,” embodies the spirit of what he’s been doing. As reported by mtv.com:
“One thing that’s particularly evident when looking at 50 Cent’s career is that the man hustles. From his days on the corner to his music industry grind and business ventures, there’s no arguing that Fif’s work ethic is relentless. His latest release follows that theme.
“His latest single, ‘Hustler,’ which premiered Monday afternoon on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, finds 50 channeling his roots. ‘My mind on the money, I ain’t trippin’ on the h–s/ I blow a whole lot of paper on clothes/ Can you dig it? I’m a hustler, baby,’ he rhymes on the chorus. And the video for the song, directed by Eif Rivera, followed just hours later. The black-and-white clip finds 50 on his retro gangster tip, complete with visual effects to make it look like his own short film. His cigar, fedora and full suit definitely complete the look.”
50 Cent’s new album “Animal Ambition” is scheduled to be released June 3 and will be his first major release without the help of record producer Dr. Dre’s Aftermath and Interscope.
