Drake is back with another new track, in less than 24 hours. Yesterday the Toronto rapper released “Draft Day,” now he’s flexing his melodic muscles even more, with a new song, “Days In The East.” As reported by rap-up.com:
“Drake drops his second song in two days. Following “Draft Day,” the Toronto MC comes through with “Days in the East,” which he previously debuted at his show in Birmingham (see “Call Me”). Drizzy slows things down for the ladies, singing over the PARTYNEXTDOOR and Noah “40″ Shebib production.
“You can be the one to take control, call me over,” he emotes over the nearly six-minute track.
“He recalls a visit to Erykah Badu’s house (“She made tea for me / We talked about love and what life could really be for me”) and even alludes to his relationship with Rihanna, who joined him on his European tour (“Wakin’ up in Amsterdam with the boy … You would probably kill another man for the boy”).”
Drake seems to have a lot of material that has either been recorded while he’s been on tour, or unreleased tracks from his “Nothing Was the Same” album which was released 6 months ago. Either way, Drake fans are being treated to a slew of new music and they’re surely happy about it.
