There was once a time when Memphis Bleek was seen as the next Jay Z. Hov was retiring from the rap game after “Hardknock Life Vol 2.” and Bleek was to be heir apparent. Things didn’t pan out that way. However, Bleek has been one of the loyalists in the Jay Z camp, still playing the role of hype man at every stage show.

Today Bleek released a mixtape titled “The Movement 2,” a followup to his 2012 release of the same name. As reported by stupiddope.com:

“How about some new material from Memphis Bleek? The New York City native is back today with a brand new mixtape for our listening enjoyment, unleashing a dope collection of new material for our ears to devour. The project is called The Movement II coming with fourteen new tracks from the lyricist, showing us that he’s still out there, making music, making moves, and living the life.”
