The St. Kitts Music Festival is a festival of popular music held annually in June. The festival was originally called the Shak Shak Festival, and was first held in 1996.

The festival combines music, Caribbean island culture and elements of carnival-type block parties with world-class performances from a variety of internationally popular music genres.

Each year, the festival features a range of musical styles on the popular market, including R&B, Jazz, hip-hop, reggae, soca, calypso, gospel and contemporary music, while reflecting a uniquely Caribbean flavor.

The St Lucia Jazz festival has been around since 1992 and was initially started to help increase tourism into St Lucia in May time which was traditionally a very quiet tourism time in the area.

Saint Lucia Jazz encompasses multiple shows of acoustical/straight ahead jazz, new age jazz, fusion, rhythm and blues with acts emanating from the United States, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe, French, latin and Reggae genres all being representd as well. The shows range from formal performances to intimate late night open air venues and late night club venues to open air picnic style events, which allow Saint Lucia Jazz to offer unparalleled variety and ambience.
