YG is back with a new single for his fans, and he brought some heavyweight assistance along with him. The Compton rapper released an official version of his song “Who Do You Love?” which features Young Money superstar Drake. As reported by rap-up.com:
“After much anticipation, YG drops the full CDQ/mastered version of his new single “Who Do You Love?” featuring Drake. The Compton lyricist brings his West Coast flavor to the DJ Mustard-produced banger, which previously leaked in December and even spawned a remix featuring The Game.
“Drake bigs up Game and Lil Wayne on his cocky verse. “Young Money s****/ Me and Lil Wayne too big,’ he raps.”
YG recently spoke some about how he finally got on a record, telling mtv.com;
“I’ve been running into Drake for some years and every time I run into him he tells me that he likes what I do, and he wanna work [together], so the time came.”
“I sent him a beat, he liked the beat, said ‘this the one, I’ma hop on,’ so he hopped on it and we’re about to shoot that video too,” he added. “We were going back and forth on the phone about the record, then he sent the verse back. That’s how it goes most of the time nowadays because everybody be on the road doing their thing.”
YG’s upcoming album, My Krazy Life, is scheduled to be released on March 18 via Def Jam.
