Boston Celtics all-star point guard Rajon Rondo looked like his old self again in his first game since tearing his ACL last season.
On his first scored basket of the season Friday night, Rondo fooled Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol with a fake behind-the-back pass that led to a lay-up for the Celtics player.
On the next Celtics’ possession, Rondo drove to the lane to make two baskets in a row.
Boston went into the game against the Lakers with a record of 14-26. That effort put them three games out of the eighth-and-final playoff spot in the East. The team hopes that Rondo will help them make post season play.
The Lakers won the game 107-104.
