Rick Ross is undoubtedly one of the hottest rappers in music over the last few years, so it’s no surprise that fans have been eagerly waiting his delayed sixth solo LP: Mastermind. However fans may not have to wait much longer as Ross released a video teaser, produced by Hype Williams, for the new album confirming on Diddy’s Revolt TV that March 4 is the new date.
As reported by mtv.com:
“Rick Ross’ sixth solo LP, Mastermind, finally has a release date: March 4. The Maybach Music CEO made the announcement via a teaser video on Revolt TV on Tuesday.
“In the ominous Hype Williams-directed visual, the standard MMG tagline, ‘The Untouchable Maybach Empire Presents,’ appears amid pluming clouds and copious stacks of newly minted $100 bills with an operatic chorus playing in the background.”
Rozay’s Mastermind album was originally supposed to be released on Dec. 17, but he delayed the album because he needed to perfect it before putting it out. Ross has also called in some big name favors to help out with album. His second single, “Devil Is A Lie” features another classic Jay Z collaboration. And Diddy has also been hired to mix the album as well.
As also reported by mtv.com:
“It’s only fitting that Diddy’s new network was used to make the announcement since the Bad Boy mogul is currently mixing his good friend’s new project. The news comes just in time for Ross, who has heard rumblings of late because the album had been pushed back from its original Dec. 17 release and was still ‘up in the air.’
“In addition to the blazing hot Jay-Z-assisted single ‘The Devil is a Lie,’ fans are eagerly anticipating Ross’ potential collaboration with Bobby Womack. Rozay revealed the secrets of his ‘biggest impacting record’ to MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway last year.”
