Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon secretly tied the knot it seems, as Whitney Houston’s daughter has posted a picture of their wedding rings on Twitter.
The status of Bobbi and Nick’s relationship has always been a mysterious one as Bobbi was constantly criticized for dating her unofficially adopted brother.
After a string of tweets on social media from both Bobbi and Nick referred to the other as “just friends” one day, and then a couple the next, the pair finally announced their engagement during a sneak peek of their reality show back in 2012.
Now Bobbi is suggesting that she got married to Nick out of the public eye, although no official wedding photos or marriage documents have surfaced.
“@nickdgordon! #HappilyMarried,” Bobbi tweeted along with a picture of her hand on top of Nick’s as they both sported what appeared to be wedding rings. “SO #Inlove. If you didn’t get it the first time that is.”
There was a short time when the couple appeared to be going through a rough spot as they called off the engagement a month after they made the public announcement.
After the reality show preview aired, Nick sent out a tweet the next month saying that he and Bobbi were not engaged nor were they even dating.
Then in July 2013, Bobbi took to Facebook to announce that their relationship was still going strong and the engagement was back on.
“Yes, we, me [and] Nick are engaged,” she wrote before discussing her relationship to Nick. “I’m tired of hearing people say, ‘Eww you’re engaged to you brother’ or if Whitney was still alive, would we be together or would she approve of this?’ Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating.”
Whitney Houston never adopted Nick, but she often referred to him as her son, which led much of the public to be wary of the idea of Bobbi and Nick dating.
Shortly after making her wedding announcement, Bobbi also posted a picture of her and Nick kissing, along with a message that seems to be hinting at some new projects coming up for the former reality star.
“#ClassicHollywood #RoyalByBirth This. Is. Me BAM! @nickdgordon iloveubaby bouts change the world,#GETREADY,” the caption read.
Other members of the Houston family have yet to publicly comment on the wedding announcement.
