Rick Ross finally released his much-anticipated collaboration with Jay Z for his new album. The new track called “The Devil Is A Lie” is another Jigga and Ross classic .
As reported by rollingstone.com:
“Rick Ross and Jay Z hold nothing back on their new collaboration, “The Devil Is a Lie,” a suitably monstrous cut from Ross’ upcoming LP Mastermind, propelled by trap percussion and a somber horn sample. The Bawse’s braggadocio is as gleefully hyperbolic as ever – as he puts it, his car seats still smell like ten keys, and you may find him out in Dubai doing it like a sheik – while Jay musters up the fire of his younger, hungrier days while still asserting that he’s a king, despite the claims of all challengers to his throne.
“This is Ross and Jay’s second collaboration this year, with the former jumping on the latter’s ‘F**kWithMeYouKnowIGotIt’ off Magna Carta… Holy Grail. Jay also hopped on Ross’ ‘3 Kings’ – as did Dr. Dre – on the Maybach Music honcho’s last album, 2012’s ‘God Forgives, I Don’t.'”
The Rick Ross and Jay Z “Devil Is Lie” is the second single from Ross’ upcoming album Mastermind, which was supposed to be released on Dec. 17 but has now been pushed back to 2014 as Ross says he needs to perfect a few things.
