Justin Timberlake has had two of the biggest pop albums of the year with his 20/20 Experience series. Now Timberlake is giving “T.K.O.” –one of the hottest singles–a hip hop angle for the remix that features A$AP Rocky, Pusha T and J. Cole. According to consequenceofsound.net:
“In one of the more random remixes of the year, Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” has been turned into a hip-hop posse track featuring ASAP Rocky, Pusha T, and J Cole. It’s almost indistinguishable from the original, with Timberlake’s presence limited to the hook. ASAP drops an X-rated verse that features more curse words than non-curse words, Pusha makes his case for Album of the Year, but it’s J. Cole’s contribution that’ll make the biggest waves. Nearly four months after its release, Cole finally responds to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Control”
“It’s worth noting that Kendrick guested on Cole’s latest album, Born Sinner, and Cole reportedly came to Kendrick’s defense during a recent skirmish between he and Diddy. So more likely than not, this is a lighthearted jab among friends, but still +1 for the “ringtone” line.
