Solange made two appearances in New York City on Sunday with a customized Lamborghini Murcielago decorated by artist Rashaad Newsome. Wearing mustard-colored pants and a patterned coat, the “Losing You” singer was seen at the Studio Museum of Harlem, Havana Outpost in Brooklyn and Opening Ceremony in SoHo hosting a trunk sale.
The compilation album, set for a Tuesday release, features music from Solange, Cassie, Jhene Aiko and other artist.
“With Saint Heron I really wanted to celebrate and continue to cultivate the community for genre defying R&B artists,” Solange said. “I’ve personally connected with all of these extremely talented artists, and really excited for us to come together through the compilation as a new movement for music.”
In addition to the album, Solange will launch SaintHeron.com. She adds,
“I’m also looking forward to SaintHeron.com being a home for music and cultural enthusiasts like myself who want to see content that really reflects the community we are a part of.”
Solange tweeted after the event: “Just have to say BIG thanks to everyone who came out to the @SaintHeron trunk sale & showed love! It was sooo awesome to feel the community.”
