Rashida Jones Calls on Oversharing Celebrities to Think About Young Fans

Rashida Jones has taken on the task of addressing the troubling trend of female celebrities oversharing their bodies for millions to see on both Twitter and Instagram.

It’s hard to determine if major celebs from Lady Gaga to Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are competing for ‘who could be the raunchiest.’ After a recent onslaught of scandalous photos, the “Parks and Recreation” actress shared her thoughts on Twitter.

Jones initially poked fun at the disturbing trend, writing:

“This week’s celeb news takeaway: she who comes closest to showing the actual inside of her (private parts) is most popular. #stopactinglikewhores.”

She went on to say:

“There is a whole generation of young women watching. Sure, be SEXY but leave something to the imagination.”

As if anticipating some backlash, the actress added, “Let me clarify. I don’t shame ANYone for anything they choose to do with their lives or bodies…BUT I think we ALL need to take a look at what we are accepting as ‘the norm.’ ”

To prove that she’s a comedian first, Jones concluded, “Also, calling on all men to show me dat (rear).”

Do you agree with Jones that celebrities need to dial down the raunchiness?
