DJ Khaled has been on a rampage releasing song after song in preparation for his new album “Suffering From Success.” Khaled, of course, is not a rapper so the benefit of his album is that he will feature a myriad of diverse artists. The latest song from Khaled is “Hell’s Kitchen” featuring J. Cole, and it’s a nice, thoughtful solo performance.
According to rap-up.com:
“J. Cole digs deep in his thoughts on the introspective “Hell’s Kitchen.” The dark track, which features his Dreamville artist Bas, appears on DJ Khaled’s upcoming album Suffering From Success (Oct. 22).
“The Roc Nation rapper contemplates fake friends, failure (“My next album flop then I’m going pop like Nelly”), and the price of fame over the ominous beat. “N** f** you and your fake well wishin’/ Now get out of Hell’s Kitchen,” raps Cole.”
“Hell’s Kitchen” also features New York rapper Bas, which helps Khaled show off a range of artists. Most of the songs on the album feature multiple artists from a range of different backgrounds.
Suffering From Success is set to drop next Tuesday.
