Rihanna’s detailed social media pictures and tweets have gotten a third man in Thailand arrested for conducting a sex show and operating an entertainment venue without a permit.
After Rihanna’s visit to Thailand back in September, it seems like the country may want to adopt Las Vegas’s “what happens here, stays here” unwritten code of conduct.
“Authorities found out about this bar the morning after Rihanna tweeted about it, but we were not able to catch them violating the law until Saturday night,” said Weera Kerdsirmongkon, the local district chief. “We had been waiting for them and finally caught them red-handed.”
Thanks to RiRi’s tweet the owner of the establishment could face up to a month in jail and a hefty fine of $1,900.
The tip-off happened when Rihanna tweeted about the bizarre night to her millions of followers.
“Either I was phuck wasted lastnight, or I saw a Thai woman pull a live bird, 2 turtles, razors, shoot darts and ping pong, all out of her p****,” she tweeted in September.
If you recall, this certainly wasn’t the first time Rihanna busted bad guys in Thailand. The first two arrests happened when the Bajan beauty posted a picture of herself holding a slow loris, which exposed two men who were peddling the wild animal off to tourists. As it turns out, it’s illegal to charge tourists to take pictures with the wildlife in Thailand.
Perhaps Rihanna needs to start working as an undercover sting operator in Thailand. Besides, she really might need to start considering other career options if she keeps upsetting her fans.
There are certain things that even the Rihanna navy won’t allow from their raunchy leader.
Her loyal fans are shoving out hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of dollars to purchase tickets to her shows around the globe, but Rihanna doesn’t seem to care about making sure they get their money’s worth.
She has already shown up to several of her shows hours late and appeared to be wasted at previous concerts. But this time she did even worse by her fans.
During her Johannesburg show in South African over the weekend she managed to get to the stage on time, but RiRi reportedly had a low-energy performance that left concert-goers confused and angry. Not to mention allegations that the petite songstress was lip-syncing as well.
“Ri-Ri Rip-Off,” the front page of The Star Johannesburg newspaper read on Monday.
The South African newspaper explained that Rihanna’s performance was “below-par” and claimed “it was obvious” that Rihanna was lip-synching.
Apparently Rihanna’s navy agreed with the paper.
“I’m a die-hard Rihanna fan, but I was disappointed,” staff photographer Sharon Seretio told the paper. “It was like she didn’t give the energy we wanted from her.”
Not only that, the tickets were high for South Africa’s market and fans felt they had truly been ripped off.
While the none of the ticket prices exceeded $100, as do some of the prices in the U.S., it’s still considered high compared to other concert tickets in their local market.
“I don’t feel the ticket prices were fair considering the level of performance,” one fan said in a disappointment.
To make matters worse, Rihanna got a taste of her own social media justice because her former fans took to Twitter quickly to bash the bad gal for the flop of a show.
“I was lip-synching better to the backing vocals than she was – at least I knew the words,” one fan tweeted after the show.
Another fan wrote, “I absolutely love Rihanna’s music, but she lip-synced a lot, the crowd sang most of the songs & overall performance :((“
Other tweets weren’t so kind. While some fans were just disappointed, others were downright furious.
“Teyana Taylor should have given rip off riri the business,” one tweet read that went out during the actual concert.
“She might as well have showed up late,” another user tweeted before someone retweeted their comment and added, “She might as well have stayed home we all shuld have stayed home.”
The tweets go on and on and while RiRi may currently be ranked as one of the top-selling R&B artists out right now, her fan base is actually dwindling and it’s only a matter of time before that impacts her other business ventures.
