Back in Stride: Derrick Rose Feels No Pain After First Game

All seemed to be going well with Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose. The day after his preseason debut against the Indiana Pacers, his previously injured knee is fine. According to Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago, Rose said he feels no soreness at all after playing 20 minutes Saturday night.

“Rose is feeling good after his first game,” Friedell said via Twitter. “Says he has no soreness at all. Seems happy with the way things are progressing.”

Rose, who tore his ACL 17 months ago, said in a recent interview, while promoting his Adidas clothing line, that he is well prepared to play again.

“[Mentally] I’m just strong as I’ve been,” Rose said. “I had the time to think about what’s important in my life, getting better on the court, watching a lot of film with [Thibodeau], asking him questions, talking to him about two times a week. … So he’s been kind of a professor to me.”

The Bulls’ next preseason matchup is Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
