Kobe Bryant Back on Lakers’ Practice Court

Kobe Bryant practice

Kobe Bryant has laced up his sneakers and is back on the Lakers’ practice court.

Well, something like that.

Bryant isn’t practicing with the Los Angeles Lakers teammates yet, but he has taken to floor this week for the first time since tearing his left Achilles in April. He is reportedly shooting the ball and jogging lightly.

“He just keeps progressing,” coach Mike D’Antoni said to ESPN-LA. “He was out today shooting a little bit and jogging. He just keeps getting better.”

Shooting and light jogging signals that Bryant is progressing in a positive direction. The Laker star has  said he is past the expected pace in his rehabilitation process.

The shots that Bryant is taking aren’t jumpers, but rather set shots.

“He’s going up on his tiptoes,” D’Antoni said. “I don’t think he was jumping, but it wasn’t flatfooted. It was set shooting.”
