Swizz Beatz Discusses Jay Z’s Drug Dealing Past

Swizz Beatz is scheduled to appear on Katie Couric’s “Katie” show. One of the topics to be discussed is Jay Z’s recent interview with Vanity Fair, where he talks about his drug dealing past. According to ABC:

“On tomorrow’s episode of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show ‘Katie,’ airing October 3, rapper Swizz Beatz weighs in on the comments friend Jay-Z made in the cover article of the new ‘Vanity Fair,’ where he opens up about his past as a drug dealer on the streets of New York and what it taught him about business. Plus, he discusses his new project, ‘Dream School.'”

In a preview of their discussion, Swizz came to the defense of his collaborator and friend saying, “[Jay Z] is the furthest thing from trouble.” Swizz did say, however, that Hov could have explained himself a little better, but that he knows his friend wasn’t trying to send a negative message.

The full interview is scheduled to air tomorrow, October 3. In the meantime, check out the preview of Swizz and Katie’s interview below.
