British actress Tracy Ifeachor lands a role in Nei Cross’ NBC pirate drama, titled “Crossbones.”
What will be her USA debut, Ifeachor has signed on to play Nenna, a character described as a smart, powerful fighter, completely loyal to Captain Blackbeard.
Crossbones is set in 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence, where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, also known as Blackbeard, played by John Malkovich, reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors.
Khary Payton has also booked a co-starring role opposite Ben Rappaport in USA network’s comedy pilot, “Love is Dead.”
Payton will be playing Doubting Thomas, a character who is a former college football star who suffers a severe injury and works at a professional relationship termination agency.
The show will be set at the agency’s office, where they specialize in breaking up romantic relationships for clients who are too scared to do it themselves. Payton will play an associate at the company.
Payton’s past credits include voiceover work for cartoons such as Like Young Justice, New Teen Titans, and G.I. Joe: Renegades.
