Rihanna was her usual fashion-forward self when she arrived at River Island’s flagship store in Oxford Street in London on Tuesday. The 25-year old pop star cemented her second design collaboration with the high street brand with an 80-piece fall collection. As expected, Rihanna was flanked in her designs, from a sheer button-down to a fur varsity jacket and blue jeans.
The “Rude Boy” singer tweeted the news to her millions of followers,
“UK Navy, I’m in London today launching the Autumn #RihannaforRiverIsland range.”
Rihanna added about the collection at the launch party:
“This collection is definitely really special to me. I think I got a lot of freedom and I got to put a lot more of myself into it. I literally designed everything I wanted to wear, exactly how I wanted to wear. And I’m giving it a New York street vibe.
I had so much fun designing it for summer/spring that autumn was just balls out. We had fun and just went for it and did things we didn’t get to do before, and that’s why I’m excited. It’s different, it’s fresh.”
Fans and fashion lovers alike can snag the collection on Sept. 12.
