Big Sean released his new album “Hall Of Fame” last week, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s hip- hop/R&B chart this week. Hall Of Fame is work that the Detroit rapper is truly proud of, and as he said in a recent interview, he thinks he has made timeless music that speaks to authentic human emotions.
One of the stand-out songs on Hall Of Fame is “First Chain” that features Nas and Kid Kudi. Big Sean sat down with Life and Times for one of their “Decoded” series, and broke down the meaning of the song, line by line.
It gives us good insight into Big Sean’s inspirations, from his mother to the city of Detroit. It’s also great to hear the rapper break down the double entendres in the song.
