When rumors broke out that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were ready to sell their Calabasas home, rumors of divorce quickly followed despite the couple’s denial that they were about to sell their home.
If there is one thing Hollywood couples should know by now, it’s that their every move will spark rumors of divorce and this was no different.
It all started when The Real Estalker reported that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were ready to list their 150-acre estate after spending less than two years in the home.
The stunning architectural feat was a custom design for the Smith family and it was shocking to hear that they may be ready to leave the home behind already.
So how does this spark divorce rumors exactly?
Some people are speculating that the couple is selling off the properties so that a divorce settlement will be easier to negotiate.
Others, however, feel that the couple is just getting rid of homes they don’t need anymore.
It’s important to note that Will and Jada own several properties across the U.S and it is unlikely that they may want to give up a few of the homes if they aren’t really being used.
In addition to the home in question, the couple has another property in Pennsylvania and Los Angeles and they recently sold a vacation home they had out in Hawaii.
Regardless of the reasons behind why they might want to sell some of the homes, they insist that this property isn’t on the market.
A spokesperson for the family told MailOnline, “This is all completely false and their home is not on the market.”
Will and Jada haven’t spoken out on the matter yet, but they have certainly been at the center of quite a few divorce rumors and are probably getting a little tired of defending their marriage to the media.
Of course, it hasn’t just been divorce rumors when it comes to the Smiths.
The rumor mill had a field day when it appeared Jada confirmed her marriage is an open relationship.
The open marriage rumors sparked when Jada sat down with the Huffington Post and said, “I’ve always told Will: ‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay.’”
She later took to Facebook to explain her comment and denied any allegations of having an open relationship with Smith, but that wasn’t enough to put the rumors to rest.
As for a divorce, it seems like only time will tell whether or not there is any real trouble in paradise.
