After a series of 15-second Instagram teasers, the second full “Jobs” trailer has been released by Open Road films. Ashton Kutcher stars as the iconic technology guru Steve Jobs, and the film follows his life from the very beginnings of Apple Inc, his ouster by its board and his return, which eventually led to him becoming one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of the 20th century.
This go-round, the “Jobs” trailer is more lighthearted than the previous one. This is evident by the use of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “Can’t Hold Us” as the background theme music, particularly the “Return of the Mack” chorus. This obviously was chosen because it sounds like “Mac,” as in Macintosh, get it?
Directed by Joshua Michael Stern and written by Matthew Whiteley, the film also stars Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons and Matthew Modine. “Jobs” hits theaters Aug. 16:
