According to the agent for T.O., Jordan Woy, he has talked with “a bunch of teams” concerning the 39-year-old wide receiver.
Woy told ESPN that he’s not sure if Owens will ultimately play, but he is in good shape and could definitely make an NFL team roster.
“I know if he goes out there and gets a shot, he’ll make a team,” Woy said. “We’ve talked to a lot of teams that have said ‘he’s a great talent, we’re set as of right now, but if we have injuries, we may reach back out.'”
Woy also said T.O. has been training in Los Angeles and Miami, and if he comes to an agreement with a team, he is ready to go to camp immediately.
“He really wants to play,” Woy said. “He knows he’s up against the wall, but he really wants to play.”
Owens, whose last season came in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals, has 1,078 catches for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns in his career.
Last year, the Seattle Seahawks signed Owens to a one-year, $1 million deal before cutting him prior to the beginning of the season.
