Malcolm Goodwin’s ‘A True Story’ Gets Theatrical Release

A True Story,” directed by and starring Malcolm Goodwin, has been acquired by Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media and is now heading for a theatrical release.

“This is a fun and honest film about two guys chasing their Hollywood dreams while trying to survive the nightmares in their everyday life. It’s a true labor of love, fueled by the fact that every artist involved in the process of making this film has at some point been in our two main characters’ shoes,” said Goodwin, who also produced the film.

Goodwin’s past credits include, A&E “Breakout Kings,” “American Gangster,” “Miracle at St. Anna,” and “Leatherheads.

Also starring in “A True Story,” Katrina Bowden (30 Rock), Kelen Coleman (The Mindy Project),  Keith Loneker (Lakeview Terrace) and Jon Gries (Napoleon Dynamite.)
