Regina King has signed up to reprise her role as the university’s director of human resources in the upcoming seventh season of CBS’s hit comedy, “The Big Bang Theory.” King’s character was last seen fending off numerous romantic advances from co-workers seeking job stability.
After ABC‘s comedy pilot, “Divorce: A Love Story,” failed to make it to series, and the cancellation of “Southland” earlier this year – the new gig has come at a good time for the “Ray” actress.
Aside from “Big Bang Theory,” King is working on other small screen projects. She will make her feature directorial debut with an adaptation of ReShonda Tate Billingsby’s novel “Let The Church Say Amen,” for BET. There is also a Shirley Chisholm biopic to which King was rumored to be attached, but her involvement has not been confirmed.
“The Big Bang Theory” returns for a seventh season with back-to-back episodes on September 26th at 8pm on CBS. Stay tuned for more updates.
