Chris Weidman knocked, Silva, the greatest mixed martial artist in the history of the sport, out cold in 2012. Weidman caught Silva with a hard left hook straight to the chin during one of Silva’s infamous cocky moments in the octagon.
The day after the fight at the post-fight news conference, Weidman said that he wanted the rematch. He referred to the rematch as “a done deal.”
