Did Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez jet off to Paris to tie the knot this weekend? Both E! and People.com are reporting that a wedding is in the works.
The couple became engaged in March 2012, after Berry adamantly denied she would never marry again. In 2007, the actress told InStyle magazine she had sworn off marriage: “I will never, never get married again.”
A pregnant Berry, Martinez and 5-year-old Nahla boarded a plane bound for France earlier this week.
According to USA Today,
“Berry, 46, is expecting a baby boy, with Martinez, 47, in early fall. The French actor told People last month, ‘My son will be an American, but I remain French.'”
It will be the first marriage for Martinez, who previously dated singer Kylie Minogue. It will be Berry’s third walk down the aisle. She was married to baseball player David Justice in the early 1990s and to singer Eric Benét in the early 2000s.
After a short-lived relationship with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, and the contentious custody battle that followed, Berry swore she wouldn’t find love again. Sources told Us Magazine that the actress was swayed when she saw how great Martinez was with Nahla, her daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. “She trusts Olivier,” one insider said. “He makes her feel safe. He’s a keeper!”
