Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: Derrick Rose Seeking to Get Back to the Top

Derrick Rose has been working hard rehabilitating his knee, on which he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury more than 14 months ago. Having missed the whole last NBA season, the former league MVP has finally set plans for his return to the Chicago Bulls lineup.

“There’s only one goal, and that’s to win a championship,” he told Bulls’ TV in a videotaped interview.

After tearing the ACL in his left knee, Rose was heavily criticized by fans for missing the whole season, especially while the Bulls suffered a tough playoff series resulting in a loss to the Miami Heat in the second round.

Rose was officially cleared to play by doctors but opted to sit out because of his personal comfort.

There will be a change as the All-Star player plans to return for the beginning of next season.

“I’m saying it is something totally different,” Rose said. “I’m going on the court and showing them it was the right decision.”
