What Happen to Him? Alex Rodriguez Couldn’t Hit a Fly in Baseball Return

Alex Rodriguez‘s efforts to make it back to the Bronx started Tuesday night and by the looks of it he has a long way to go.

In a highly anticipated night, the Yankees All-Star met struggle and personal failure. A-Rod played three innings for the Charleston RiverDogs, which is the Yankees organization Class-A team, against the Rome Braves, and went 0-for-2 at bats. Besides that, the two baseballs that were hit to him at third base ended up as base hits for the Braves.

Responding to the question of the importantance of his results, Rodriguez said, “not this early on. It’s exactly like you would say on March 1. I think you start paying more attention probably after 10 games when you’re a little bit closer. . . . You always want to play well, but it’s been nine months, a long time. It’s good to get back out there and take some of the rust off.”

The Yankees third baseman, who suffered a left hip surgery in January, has close to three weeks left before he will make his return to the Yankees’ roster.
