Alex Rodriguez has been clear to make a rehab start on Tuesday when the Charleston RiverDogs host the Rome Braves at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The New York Yankees star will start at third base and will play no less than three innings in tomorrow night’s game.
Rodriguez is rehabbing a hip injury to repair a torn left hip labrum which he hurt back in January. On June 25, Rodriguez’s publicist announced via Twitter that Dr. Bryan Kelly, who operated on the all-star player and has overseen his recovery, had given him “the green light to play games again!”
The three-time American League MVP was the first overall pick by the Seattle Mariners in the 1993 MLB Amateur Draft. Since then, he has hit 647 homers, 1,950 RBI, 512 doubles, and scored 1,898 runs.
