Big Things Popping: Mariah Carey and Young Jeezy Drop And Official Hip Hop Remix For #Beautiful

Mariah Carey has teamed up with Young Jeezy once again for the official hip hop remix of “#beautiful” which also still includes vocals from r&b sensation Miguel. The R&B diva recently released a “dance” remix with A$ap Rocky and a “spanglish” version to the wildly popular single off her 14th studio album ‘Art of Letting Go,’ which was originally set to be released on July 23, but has since been delayed. This remix, arguably the best one yet, got a remake of the instrumental by producer Dj Mustard, to give it its own unique feel as opposed to just a verse over the original track. Which restores the feeling of past collaborations between Jeezy and Carey.

According to complex.com:

“This go-around, she enlists Young Jeezy to accompany her and Miguel. If the beat sounds different from the original, that’s because it is: Mariah got DJ Mustard to rework it, and the result is a song that is livlier than the first. Altogether, Mariah plans to release five remixes to “#Beautiful.” It might be too early to call at this point, but the latest version might be the standout.”

The song got a major push as Jeezy and Mariah performed the song live at the BET awards show last night. After Carey did ‘#beautiful’ Young Jeezy jumped into his current single that has been burning up the airwaves: ‘RIP.’ The performance, while great on Jeezy’s end, as he rocked the crowd with its uptempo banger, was not unblemished for Mariah with everyone speculating that she was lip syncing.

According to latimes.com:

“the question many viewers were left with after Mariah Carey’s performance on the BET Awards Sunday night at the Nokia Theatre in L.A., where she unleashed a flurry of speculation that she was lip-syncing during her performance of her hit duet with Miguel “#Beautiful.”

As hubby Nick Cannon came to her defense:

” My wife is a perfectionist and clearly because she’s done it right all her life. So she actually puts a lot of work into these performances,” Cannon told us. “There’s no management helping make decisions. Everything you see is all her, whether it’s a collaboration when the lights hit, how she enters, she’s doing all of that.”

Whether she lip syncs or not the new track is definitely hot!  Jeezy has given us something new while simultaneously taking us down memory lane from the times they collaborated for the “Shake it Off” remix. Interestingly, back then Jeezy would of never been able to “steal” a show from Mariah, which is just a testament to how far he and hip hop music has come.
