Kanye West Proposal: Reportedly, Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian shortly after their baby girl, North West, was born on June 15, but it appears the engagement news may have been a false alarm.
Kim Kardashian has always been open to the idea of remarriage, and rumors in the past have suggested that she and Kanye had indeed been discussing the next chapter of their life together.
So did Kanye actually propose after welcoming his new daughter into the world?
According to a few sources close to the Kardashian family, the answer is no.
The Sun was the first major publication to run the story that Kimye were finally engaged and they even gave a description of an expensive ring.
While the reality star does have a fancy new rock on her finger, chances are it’s not an engagement ring.
Reports are suggesting that the rare black diamond ring that West gave Kimmy was a gift to celebrate the birth of their first child together, not an engagement ring.
This isn’t too hard to believe considering Kanye has been showering his curvy girlfriend with expensive gifts ever since they got together.
Of course, just because the “New Slaves” rapper didn’t pop the question yet, it doesn’t mean that he won’t propose eventually.
“I can’t imagine them not getting married,” a friend of the Kardashian Klan told E! “That’s in their future.”
For now, however, they’re more focused on balancing their busy careers with the responsibilities of being new parents.
“They’re putting work aside right now to focus on the family,” the family friend said. “They’re in it 100 percent. Kanye is already an incredibly present father. He’s very relaxed and comfortable.”
The news of Yeezy being a good father comes as a pleasant surprise after it seemed as though he was doing everything in his power to be anywhere but by Kim’s side during the pregnancy.
He spent most of his time in Paris working on new music and a few fashion endeavors, while the 32-year-old starlet discovered the sex of their baby without him.
The Chicago native even jetted off to New York to celebrate his birthday while his then-pregnant girlfriend was not allowed to fly.
