Shortly after Chris Brown’s father expressed his disapproval of his son’s girlfriend, Brown confirmed in an interview that the couple had split and this time it doesn’t appear that he has any intentions of getting back together with her – for another week or so.
It seems as if the Chris Brown and Rihanna not so merry-go-round relationship will never come to a stop.
The on-again, off-again couple has called it quits once again, but this time Brown claims that he is giving it all up to just focus on his music.
During Breezy’s interview with the radio show Kyle and Jackie, the R&B bad boy said he is ready to just “do it solo.”
“I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road,” he said. “It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta fast forward.”
As usual, the love is still there between RiRi and Breezy.
“I’m always gonna love that person,” he added. “I can’t be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be.”
While we aren’t so sure Brown will be able to keep his paws off Rihanna for long, he did prove that he is over his fling with Karrueche Tran.
During his birthday bash last Friday, Tran was caught partying along with Chris and his camp, but the tattooed crooner didn’t seem interested in his ex.
“He didn’t appear to be paying much attention to her and was partying around a lot of girls,” one onlooker said of Brown.
The split comes as no surprise after Brown’s dad publicly bashed his son’s choice of a girlfriend.
Just a few days ago Brown’s father, Clinton Brown, revealed that he never wanted RiRi and his son together in the first place.
“I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together,” he said.
He went on to explain that the Bajan beauty’s party attitude concerned him and he was worried that she would be a poor influence on his son – and he might be on to something.
Remember when Brown was just a humble young man playing a supporting role in “This Christmas”? Now he is popping off on valet over $10. We aren’t holding Rihanna responsible for his actions, but we’re just saying there is certainly a correlation there.
Anyway, Breezy is still very fond of her and respects all the hard work she has put into her career, but it seems as if that is just too much to balance with a full time relationship.
“She’s touring, working her a** off and he’s working his off in the studio,” a source close to the controversial lovers said.
With the “Don’t Judge Me” crooner also releasing a song begging the love of his life to put down the bottle, this is the most hopeful that we’ve ever been that the relationship could actually be coming to an official end. But we also know not to get our hopes up with these two.
Either way, we really hope both Rihanna and Brown take the time apart to focus on themselves. They could both really use it.
