Photos of Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto’s wedding hit the web during the ceremony yesterday and revealed Jordan’s star studded guest list and the charitable work that will be benefiting from his nuptial.
The massive ceremony took place in West Palm Beach yesterday, April 28, and had an exclusive (but still rather extensive) guest list that included other A-list athletes.
We’re sure that when it came the wedding venue, the music, the food, and even the colors for the bridesmaids Michael made sure Yvette got exactly what she wanted.
As for who M.J. would be paling around with before and during the big day? We have a feeling that Yvette just hoped the NBA legend wasn’t taking any advice from his buddies.
Famous cheater Tiger Woods was in attendance at the wedding while famous sportscaster Ahmad Rashad, who is currently going through a rather messy and expensive divorce, was right by his side.
Of course, it wasn’t all bad. M.J’s former teammate from the Chicago Bulls, Scottie Pippen, was in attendance along with his wife Larsa Pippen.
It was adorable to see Scottie constantly holding Larsa’s hand as they ventured around to mingle with other guests until you realize that Scottie is probably holding her so tightly by his side because he is well aware of the fact that Tiger Woods is only a few feet away.
Anyway, the woman of the day looked absolutely stunning. Michael’s mother, Deloris Peoples, looked classy and chic in an ivory colored skirt suit that flowed gracefully as she made her way into the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-sea that was soon to be jam packed with over 300 guests.
And of course Michael’s new wife looked stunning as well. The former model proved that she is still camera ready any day as she rocked a beautiful French silk viole gown by J’Aton Couture that hugged her figure perfectly since the dress was actually custom made for her big day.
Even the entertainment featured A-listers.
DJ MC Lyte came out to help entertain the massive crowd in addition to singers K’Ron and Robin Thicke. Perhaps the biggest name of the night was “The Voice” coach Usher coming out to perform for the NBA legend’s big day.
The Source, a famous 18-piece band, was also there to round up the top of the line list of entertainers.
The question for many people who are attending the wedding of a wealthy friend, however, is what do you get the person who already has it all? And if they don’t have it they can certainly afford to get it themselves.
Well nobody had to worry about that dilemma when they attended the big day because instead of taking gifts, the couple asked all their guests (approximately 2,000 people at the reception and about 300 at the actual wedding ceremony) to donate money to the James R. Jordan Foundation.
Even the huge flower arrangements that decorated the huge space were all donated to the Jupiter Medical Center.
Jordan and Prieto had been dating for five years before the NBA star finally popped the question. With the 50-year-old’s last divorce being one of the most expensive divorces in A-list celebrity history all eyes are on the duo to see if Yvette will truly make Jordan a happy man, or if she’ll do her best to get her own independent slice of his fame and fortune.
