Columbia Pictures gave the green light for Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill to team up again for the 21 Jump Street 2 movie and now the studio just set a release date for the film. Michael Bacall will write the script for the returning tag-team duo, while Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to direct the comedy.
It’s too early to determine what the storyline is going to be, but since it is going to be the same directors expect Tatum and Hill’s on screen antics to be taken to the next level.
21 Jump Street 2 is slated to hit theaters June 6, 2014. That’s the same day as Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so it should be interesting who takes the top box office spot.
The first 21 Jump Street film, which came out last year, grossed a whopping $201.6 million worldwide.
