Rihanna has managed to break the record for the most pop chart toppers in Billboard’s 20-year history despite battling illness and getting in some serious partying.
Don’t let Rihanna’s Instagram and Twitter fool you. She may be busy tweeting photos of herself at strip clubs, tanning by the pool, or sexual hand gestures at the Heat game but she has indeed been a busy girl.
RiRi’s former BFF Katy Perry was the former record holder, but ever since Rihanna’s “Stay” reached number one of the Billboard’s pop chart Perry has been stripped of her title.
The two pop divas were tied at nine number one hits, but “Stay” has pushed RiRi’s total to 10 in about seven years.
While her top 10 pop hits are the only songs breaking records, Rihanna has some other notable accomplishments according to Billboard.com:
The record for most No. 1s is the latest for Rihanna on Pop Songs. She previously established the marks for most entries (35) and top 10s (23) dating to the ranking’s Oct. 3, 1992, launch.
“Stay” also charges 11-7 on Adult Pop Songs, becoming her third top 10 on the list, and debuts at No. 30 on Adult Contemporary. (It’s reached No. 3 on the all-format airplay/sales/streaming-fueled Billboard Hot 100.)
Also notably, “Stay” is only the second piano-and-vocal-only No. 1 of the 259 songs to have ruled Pop Songs. The first? The song that “Stay” dethrones after three weeks at the summit, Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man.”
RiRi certainly knows how to work hard enough to put out a hit, but it’s obviously never all work and no play for Chris Brown’s on/off again girlfriend.
Just a day after she shared photos of her 4/20 celebration, the Bajan beauty was showing off her flawless figure by the pool.
Of course, even soaking up the sun has to be done in the usual Rihanna fashion of being more nude than usual.
The star’s “string bikini” was more of a thong and the “Diamonds” songstress had no problem with flaunting her assets.
After a while the racy songstress made a swimsuit change where she slipped into a nude bikini that did a better job of actually covering some parts of her body.
The new bikini also seemed to come with a new attitude as Jay-Z’s mentee went from showing off her buns to playing with an adorable toddler.
“Playing hard to get, but he loves me,” she tweeted along with a photo of the handsome little man in her lap.
The sweet photo came as a bit of a surprise considering she was just enjoying her usual stripper fantasies the night before.
“Lastnight one of my fantasies came to life,” she tweeted along with a photo of her tossing dollar bills at the strippers. “I got to see K.O.D strippers dance for me to the stripper song I made! #PoltThePhuckUp.”
She later sent out another tweet that read, “Wild for the night, phuck being polite!”
It was quite a long weekend for RiRi because she managed to not only put on a show, celebrate 4/20, and have several bikini changes by the pool; but she also made time to show some love at the Heat game this weekend.
Rihanna and her bestie (and rumored former lover) were caught at the Heat game where RiRi hit one of her favorite poses for the cameras.
The 25-year-old songstress couldn’t help but slide her tongue between her fingers as she posed along side her bestie at the game.
In the midst of hitting her inappropriate gesture, however, she also exposed that she’s been having some trouble with her manicure.
Her middle finger had a noticeable chip going all the way across her nail, but the R&B star did her best to try to paint over the crack.
Of course, nobody really minds RiRi having a chipped nail when she’s busy breaking records.
I supposed Wiz Khalifa said it best: “Work Hard, Play Hard.”
