Beyonce sung her own version of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” for the new Great Gatsby film, but Amy’s father isn’t impressed with her performance. Meanwhile, it seems like Queen Bey has started taking notes from Rihanna about how to dress on stage.
We’ve heard people say they were unimpressed with Beyonce’s fashion choices, hair styles, or lyrics, but it is rare that you hear someone genuinely unimpressed with the powerhouse singer’s vocal skills.
Well Amy’s father, Mitch, is stepping out to say just that.
“I don’t think she brings anything to it,” he said after listening to Bey’s version of the song.
As it turns out, it wasn’t just the R&B Queen’s talent (or lack thereof in Mitch’s opinion) that made him upset about the remake. He claims that initially nobody even asked him for permission to remake his daughter’s hit.
“I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it,” he said. “They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.”
Meanwhile, the “Grown Woman” crooner has been working hard on her Mrs. Carter World Tour, but it seems like that one strange faux boob outfit wasn’t the last of its kind.
When Jay-Z’s wife hit the stage in Croatia on April 18 she flaunted a gold body suit that had glittering nipples.
The designer of the boob-a-licious outfit, The Blonds, explained, “[It is] meant to give the illusion of being covered in crystallized honey.”
Because we all love crystallized honey nipples…
If this is a part of that whole feminism movement I’m clearly just not a feminist.
What makes the crazy costume choices a little humorous is the fact that the fashion decision came shortly after Rihanna was rumored to be beefing with the modern day Queen of R&B.

It seems like while RiRi was demanding she was the actual leading lady of R&B and not the one who needs to “Bow Down” to anyone, Blue Ivy’s mommy was actually taking notes?
The stage costumes are very Rihanna-ish in nature and quite honestly it seems like Beyonce is stepping back and re-branding herself – and we don’t necessarily like where it’s headed.
Bey and HOV are constantly listed as influential figures – they recently made the Time 100 list of the most influential people – so it’s a little different when Rihanna throws on a questionable costume compared to when Mrs. Carter does it.
Sorry Bey but if we see any teenage girls walking down the streets with nipple shirts were boycotting your music.
