Oh Beyonce. Can you do no wrong?
Beyonce’s H&M bikini ads are a prefect example of why the modeling industry is foolish for turning their noses up to African American women.
While the popular clothing retailer leaked one photo from the Beyonce ad campaign last month, they have finally released a few more and Queen Bey has done it again.
Just as Bey launches her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in Serbia today, H&M has debuted a few more shots from the “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M” campaign. With perfectly-placed flowers in her hair, the 31-year-old mother models a bevy of swimsuits from the Swedish retailer’s summer collection in the same idyllic setting as the first snap.
Now if you’re wondering how in the world H&M managed to find so many bathing suits that just scream “Beyonce,” it’s because Blue Ivy’s fabulous mommy actually had a hand in designing the sexy swimwear:
“What makes these [H&M] pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style,” Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design at H&M, told The Telegraph.
The “Grown Woman” songstress isn’t just showing off her flawless body either. During her tour she’s going to flaunt some serious footwork that’s being custom made just for her.
And who has the honor of designing some crazy chic shoes for Baddie Bey? None other than Stuart Weitzman who is one of Mrs. Carter’s good friends.
Beyonce pal and famed footwear designer Stuart Weitzman dreamed up “dozens of pairs” of glitzy pumps and booties for the superstar’s upcoming world tour.
“She’s very easy,” Weitzman told the Daily News of working with the “Single Ladies” singer.
“She knows what she wants. And she is so grateful to have these shoes made just perfectly so that she can perform without thinking about them.”
Weitzman said he focused on designs — many in shiny metals or velvet — that could withstand Beyonce’s high-energy dancing during the “Mrs. Carter Show” concerts, which kick off Monday in Serbia.
While Weitzman will be on shoe duty, Dsquared 2 is taking on the responsibility of putting Mrs. Carter in the best outfits money can buy.
It looks like Bey might be trying to catch up with little sister Solange on the fashionista totem pole.
Meanwhile, the powerhouse songstress is reminding everyone that it isn’t just her good looks and amazing voice that made us become obsessed fall in love with her. She is the one songstress who has every right to be a complete diva, but instead she is always up to good and working for a charitable cause.
According to ABC, her latest project has her asking America to “Miss a Meal:”
Superstar singer-actress Beyonce is lending her star power to the fight against hunger and to help job creation.
In the hunger effort, Beyonce is working with “Miss a Meal,” a campaign that encourages people to skip a meal and donate the money to the campaign to feed the needy.
Beyonce, her sister, Solange, and their mother,Tina Knowles, are working together on the effort
In addition to feeding those in need, she’s also taking strides to help create more jobs:
Beyonce is also working with Goodwill to support people who are trying to find work. Starting June 28 – the start of the North American leg of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour – the star will promote donation drives to benefit Goodwill.
Goodwill will host a mobile donation center at tour venues in 24 cities across North America. The organization will collect clothing, electronics and small household goods, and proceeds from the sale of those items will benefit Goodwill in its work to help people who are facing challenges in their search for work.
Looks like President Obama’s famous friends might actually be doing a lot more good than harm – despite their controversial excursion to Cuba.
