Ryan Murphy's 'Open' Lands At HBO

Looks like Ryan Murphy will have yet another provocative series on TV. His latest brainchild, Open, has been ordered to pilot on HBO.

Open is described as “a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships,” focusing on “five lead characters, including a married couple of thirtysomethings, the husband’s male co-worker and a woman in her 40s who is a yoga professional,” as first read on Deadline. Provocative? Exploring human sexuality? Yep, sounds like something straight from the mind of Murphy. Now the big question – will these characters sing?

Ryan Murphy is also the genius behind Glee, The Glee Project, American Horror Story, The New Normal, Nip/Tuck, and Popular. Based on that spectrum of shows, Murphy clearly has a vivid imagination and knows how to captivate his viewers.

Since Open is calling HBO home, viewers can likely expect a few f-bombs, nude scenes, and some super twisted stuff that only a network like HBO dares broadcast. Are you excited for Murphy’s latest venture?
