Disgo 8400G is a Budget Tablet to Consider

There will always be a place in the consumer electronics business for budget-friendly devices. Perhaps not offering the same levels of build quality or number of features, but handing you the basic package for a lot less.

Enter, disgo. The company has been producing budget Android pads for a couple of years now and has just announced its first 3G offering: The disgo 8400G.

First things first, the disgo 8400G will only set you back £149.99. For that, you’ll be getting a 7.9-inch device with a 1,024 x 768 resolution, dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor running at 1.2GHz and Android 4.1.3 out of the box.

As mentioned, this is the company’s first 3G-enabled tablet and also has the standard Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 3.0 on board. According to disgo, the  4800mAh battery packed inside will give you 8 hours of power.

However, the cheap price comes at the expense of some additional features. Internal storage is limited to 4GB – although you can increase it with a microSD card. And the 512MB RAM is a fraction of the 2GB you’ll find in the likes of theSamsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

In times gone by, the likes of the disgo 8400G would have a clear shot at the budget-conscious tablet consumer. However, the likes of the Kindle Fire HD andGoogle Nexus 7 have arrived with excellent specs and friendly price tags to boot…
