Amanda Bynes looks different now days…unrecognizable to some…others say the former child star is trying to “look black.” On Saturday, Bynes tweeted a picture of herself in heavy make-up, an obviously fake blond curly wig, a red beanie and a camouflage shirt accessorized with an off-white circle scarf. In the picture, her left cheek appeared to be adorned with a stud piercing. Amanda used her Twitter to tweet several other pictures; in all of them she is wearing some kind of wig and heavy make-up. Her newest looks are bizarre, random and a bit ‘edgy;’ perhaps it’s that ‘edge’ that has people, like the folks over at Bossip.com, thinking Bynes is crossing over to the dark side.
This is the latest in a long line of strange behavior from this one-time Disney star. She’s taken to the highly popular social network to tweet her distaste for Jay-Z’s face, captioning the words ‘ugly face’ onto his picture. Amanda Bynes also used her Twitter to express her preference for dating black men, saying: ”I like black men I’m very attracted to them just fyi.” She’s even talked about losing 20 pounds to her already slender frame; telling Us Weekly magazine, “I gain weight quickly so I need to work out constantly.” She also remarked “I moved to New York City and I love it! I lost 4 lbs since I moved. I’m 121 lbs – my goal is 100 lbs.”
It’s unclear what Bynes hopes to accomplish with her various bizarre tweets and actions. Her behavior has been increasingly erratic since the actress announced her retirement from the business in 2010. As she apparently loves Twitter, it was no surprise that she made her retirement announcement in a series of tweets to her fans.
As her legal troubles continue to mount, some are calling her the new Lindsay Lohan. Certainly she is following in the footsteps of the troubled redhead; with DUI’s and various legal issues similar to that of Lohan. During her latest run-in with the law, TMZ recorded the star in her vehicle and reported that, “In one shot, you see what appears to be remnants of marijuana in a cup holder. Some of the nugs appear burnt — as if they had already been smoked.”
By September of last year, Bynes was charged with two counts of hit and run, both misdemeanor. The charge stems from her allegedly crashing into two cars and fleeing the scene (of two separate incidents) twice in just five months, the first happening in April and the second in August. The charge of DUI was added to her rap sheet after her April 6 arrest.
The former teen star tried to get help from the Commander in Chief, President Barak Obama, by tweeting him. “Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”
