MC Hammer Charges Dropped After Racial Profiling Allegations

Did the MC Hammer strategy of accusing the police of racial profiling actually work? Apparently it did because the Dublin, California police department is dropping all of Hammers charges.

The old school rapper took to Twitter to update his fans on what happened with that recent arrest he earned out in Dublin. According to his latest tweet, all the charges were dropped and he has “No Beef” with the police officer in question.

“Thank You to all my friends and supporters,” he tweeted. “All CHARGES DECLINED. Dropped. Have A great Weekend.”

After the tweet he attached a link to his song “No Beef.”

Well we’re more than happy to see that the 50-year-old rapper won’t be behind bars but it seems like the police department may have gone out of their way to cover up the truth?

Remember that when the charges first sprang up, MC Hammer slammed the police department with some serious allegations of racial profiling.

Now that they’re dropping the charges are we all supposed to forget about that?

According to the “Can’t Touch This” rapper, the officer went so far as to try to pull him out of the vehicle he was driving and the only thing that stopped him was some physical limitations.

“When I was handing him my ID he reached in my car and tried to pull me out the car but forgot he was on a steady donut diet,” he tweeted when the arrest first took place. “It was comical to me until he pulled out his guns, blew his whistle and yelled for help (MallCop) !!! But make no mistake he’s dangerous.”

That’s not even where the racial profiling allegedly started either.

According to the tweets, the officer’s first question was perhaps the most offensive thing he said throughout the entire ordeal.

“Chubby elvis looking dude was tapping on my car window, I rolled down the window and he said, ‘Are you on parole or probation?’” another tweet explained.

According to the police, the problem with that tweet however is that the car wasn’t Hammers and he didn’t have any registration for the vehicle.

Of course there are three sides to every story and this is one case where it seems like the truth will remain missing.

Either way, something is very fishy about this entire situation.

If MC Hammer broke the law why were the police so eager to drop all the charges after he accused them of racial profiling? Is it because they didn’t want the truth to come to light? Perhaps they really did do everything MC accused them of and the last thing they wanted was for the world to see that?

Or maybe the police department was indeed innocent and just didn’t want the negative backlash that might come from MC Hammer fans accusing them of being racist? Of course, the police department really shouldn’t let anything get in the way of doing their job.

But here is the most troubling question we have to ask.

If a police officer went so far as to threaten MC Hammer with a gun and try to pull him out his car window for no reason, why is MC ready to drop all of his own accusations as well?

Either way the answer is troublesome. Whether none of the racial profiling allegations ever happened and MC Hammer was just lying to get out of hot water, or everything he said was true but he is willing to forget about it all simply because the police dropped his charges.

I can’t say we’re too happy about either option because at the end of the day something fishy is going on here and the truth is being swept under the rug.
