Chris Cooper joins Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti as villains for Andrew Garfield’s webslinging Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Cooper has been confirmed as Norman Osborn, Parker’s mentor turned bad guy. The rumors of Green Goblin returning are true…sort of.
As seen on The Hollywood Reporter, there’s no official news yet if Osborn will officially transform from industrial mogul to Green Goblin in this particular film. This rebooted franchise won’t conclude without an epic Green Goblin/ Spider-Man showdown.
Cooper will play father to Dane Deehan’s character, Harry Osborn. Cooper and Deehan have pretty big shoes to fill considering they are reprising the father/son roles recently played by Hollywood heavy-hitters Willem Dafoe and James Franco, respectively.
Hopefully Peter Parker has been taking his vitamins, Spidey has a lot of bad guys to bring down in his next film!
