John Corbett To Star In 'NCIS: LA' Spin Off

Finally, John Corbett is back on TV. Corbett is set to star in an NCIS: Los Angeles spin off, set to make it’s crossover debut later this season in an episode entitled Red.

The new series is based on a team of mobile agents who travel cross country solving crimes. Per Deadline.com,  Corbett is set to play Analyst Roy Quaid, a recently retired NCIS Special Agent, whose experience comes in handy during investigations. Edwin Hodge, and NCIS: LA’s Miguel Ferrer are also confirmed for the new show.

Corbett most recently had a guest starring arc on NBC’s Parenthood and the lead in a made for TV movie, Widow Detective. Corbett was a regular on Showtime’s United States of Tara from 2009-2011. Corbett landed his breakout leading role on television series in 1990 with Northern Exposure, which ran for six seasons. Many women recognize Corbett as Aidan Shaw, Carrie Bradshaw’s former fiance, on HBO’s Sex and the City. His voice probably makes your mouth water for one of Applebee’s pick and pair lunch combos, or reminds you to get your prescriptions refilled at Walgreen’s – Corbett also has “voice over star of Applebee’s and Walgreen’s commercials” on his resume.

NCIS: LA actually got its start as a spin off from the original NCIS. NCIS: LA  has done very well for itself, hopefully this new spin off will have similar good fortune.
