Chris Brown respects Frank Ocean’s decision not to press charges after their parking lot brawl, but the police who pulled Brown over for speeding through Beverly Hills weren’t feeling Ocean’s forgiving spirit.
Chris Brown has been getting himself into quite a bit of trouble lately, but it seems like he has a knack for getting off easy.
After his parking lot fight with R&B star Frank Ocean, it turns out the “Thinking ‘Bout You” crooner has decided not to press charges.
“As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man,” Frank Ocean posted on his website after revealing he won’t be pressing any charges against Breezy. “But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”
Of course there was no guarantee that Brown would have been found guilty to begin with after security cameras only managed to capture the part of the fight that happened indoors – not where it started in the parking lot.
If you ask witnesses, however, they all have their fingers pointed at Breezy who isn’t exactly known for being calm, cool, and collected.
One bystander claimed she say Brown throw the first blow in the fight, and while Frank’s music producer agrees that the fight is Chris’s fault his story differs from that of the other witness.
While a lady who claimed to have seen the incident swore she saw the R&B bad boy punch Frank in the face in the middle of the parking lot, Michael Uzowuru told a different story on his blog Sunday morning.
According to Uzowuru the entire incident was indeed a scuffle over a parking spot.
He says that he arrived at Westlake Studios along with the 25-year-old R&B star and another guy by the name of Chito. Upon arrival they spotted an orange Lambo in a parking spot labeled “Frank.” The men went inside to tell the front desk that the car needed to be removed and that’s when it was discovered the luxury car belonged to none other than Chris Brown.
According to the blog post, Breezy came out in about 10 minutes with a “big dude” and a “skinnier dude” and that’s when Frank told him to move his car.
If you were thinking Ocean asked politely, however, it seems like even he was copping a bit of an attitude. The blog post says that he bluntly told Rihanna’s lover “You parked in my spot, move.”
While it was a bit blunt, it wasn’t exactly fighting words but it was enough for the “big dude” to set things off. Uzowuru claims that’s when the large guy with Brown punched Chito in the face while Brown and his other pal jumped Ocean.
“There’s no doubt in my mind the whole thing was a set up,” he admitted on the blog post.
He also explained that Frank received the cut on his finger after he was tackled by Brown’s posse and sent flying into a “big fake candle display laced with glass.”
The “Novacane” singer did allegedly fight back according to the blog post, but it wasn’t enough against Chris and his buddy who were trying to beat the “living s**t out of [him].”
The producer holds the “Yeah x3” singer responsible but also pointed out that he feels as if he is facing some demons.
“I don’t know what type of demons Chris is facing, but I hope he clears them all and finds a new life rooted in love and light,” he concluded.
Unfortunately for the tatted up R&B singer the police weren’t feeling as sympathetic as Uzowuru and Ocean when they caught Karrueche Tran’s part-time boyfriend speeding through Beverly Hills on Saturday.
He’s been able to weasel himself out of a lot of tough predicaments but he wasn’t able to talk his way out of the speeding ticket that claims he was doing 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.
Meanwhile, the “Sweet Love” crooner seems to have much more respect for Frank now and probably won’t be so willing to steal his parking spots outside the studio now.
A source close to the trouble maker claims that there was actually no beef from the beginning and that this brawl was just caused from a string of unfortunate circumstances and misunderstandings.
“It is what it is. It was a misunderstanding and Chris respects Frank and all,” one source says. “This was some petty sh** that was blown out of whack in the media. Everything that you think you heard didn’t even happen and Chris and Frank know that. That’s why Frank just let it go.”
Of course, Frank claimed he let it go out of the spirit of forgiveness not because he felt Breezy wasn’t responsible for what happened. Either way, the source claims that it’s all water under the bridge now.
“It’s all gravity,” the source continued. “Chris has no beef with anybody. Frank is cool. Everybody’s cool and in the end, it’s all about respect anyway.”
The “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer isn’t exactly known to show much respect either, but only time will tell if he decided to finally face those “demons” and get his act together.
