'Magic Mike' Star Channing Tutum Wife Jenna Pregnant With First Child

Channing Tatum’s wife of three years Jenna Tatum is pregnant!  The news that one of Hollywood’s sexiest men is expecting his first child next year has fans both excited and sad at the same time.

When Tatum was given the title of People’s Sexist Man Alive last month he talked about his desire to become a father in the near future. “I’m ready; I think she’s ready,” Tatum told the magazine recently. “The first number that pops into my head is three, but I just want one to be healthy and then we’ll see where we go after that.” The heartthrob has also admitted that even though he wants three kids, he could easily say he wants 15 children…but his wife is having none of that. The Magic Mike star realizes the number of kids he has with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum is a joint decision. Of course, with a man like Tatum, we wouldn’t be mad at his wife for having as many of his babies as he wants.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum might be married to the world’s sexiest man, but she is no trophy wife. She stars in the FX hit series ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ and has several movies under her belt. The pair met on the set of the dance hit movie ‘Step Up’. She and husband Tatum also run a production company, 33&Productions, Inc.

This year has been good to the ‘The Vow’ star. In addition to being named People’s Sexist Man Alive, the star’s latest movie ‘Magic Mike’ was a big success for him, grossing almost $40 million opening weekend. The movie did so well, there have been talks of a sequel, which Tatum may direct. However, for his part, Channing is not ready to make that move just yet. He’s said that unless he can direct other projects first, he won’t take on Magic Mike 2 as his first directorial debut. “That’s not smart. I want to start with something very small … make a lot of mistakes, make them real early, and then go jump in [on ‘Magic Mike 2’].”

We’re sure his upcoming role of dad is going to be all Channing Tatum will be focused on in the near future. Congratulations to him and Jenna on their first pregnancy.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
