Dennis Haysbert Steps In To Replace Michael Clark Duncan In 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'

With the passing of Michael Clark Duncan earlier this year, some major films had to scramble to fill the late actor’s shoes. For Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill for, Duncan would have been reprising his role from the first Sin City. Luckily for Rodriguez, 24 actor and Allstate spokesman Dennis Haysbert, has stepped up to play the part intended for Duncan, keeping Sin City: A Dame To Kill For on track.

Haysbert will play Manute, the brutal and seemingly unstoppable right hand man of Ava’s Husband. Though Haysbert never played a villain role, it will be interesting to see what he does with the part.

In addition to Haysbert replacing Duncan, Jamie Chung will replace Devon Aoki in her assassin role as Miho. Other than Duncan and Chung, the cast remains the same, with Mickey Rourke, Jessical Alba, Jaime King and Rosario Dawson all reprising their roles. Clive Owen is also expected to return, but has not confirmed as of yet.

Production has not been forthcoming in terms of the major plot of Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, but one story=line that will surely be in the movie is Dwight’s (Owen) entangled, complicated and deadly relationship with the femme fatale named Ava.

Production has softly started this month but will officially begin in January 2013.
