Gabriel Aubry Files Restraining Order Against Olivier Martinez

While Halle Berry’s love life hasn’t been a walk in the park, the recent fallout from the Thanksgiving day brawl between her fiance Olivier Martinez and ex Gabriel Aubry is taking the term domestic dispute to a whole new level. As Berry seeks to take out a new restraining order against Aubry (since the temporary one issued after the fight expires today); Aubry is fighting back with a restraining order of his own. He claims that Olivier Martinez threatened him at Nahla’s school just one day before the fight occurred.

Additionally, Aubry claims that Martinez was the aggressor of the fight and as he was being pummeled, he heard Martinez yell “You’ve cost us $3 million!” While most people might be angry about losing $3 million, a fight of this magnitude in front of the child caught in the middle of this chaos certainly isn’t a viable solution to the problem. The model has alleged that Berry’s fiance threatened to kill him as the fight raged on. That allegation is the reason Nahla Aubry’s father is seeking a restraining order against the actor.

Strangely, Halle’s public relations team has been quiet during this whole ordeal involving Mr. Aubry and her fiance. It’s common knowledge that the one-time couple is locked in a bitter custody battle over their 4-year old daughter. As a result, her lawyers may be advising her not to speak out publicly during this difficult time. However, it is also strange that Olivier Martinez has not been charged with assault against Aubry; since both assaulted each other. From pictures, it’s clear that Martinez (who box professionally before becoming an actor) got the better of the model.

No one knows the behind-the-scenes madness that may account for Aubry being lone person charged in this outburst. What is known is that the daughter at the center of this controversy going to be most affected after the dust settles (be it in the United States or France). Whatever the private situation among this domestic dispute triangle may be, it’s doubtful that any of them will one day look back over this incident and laugh it off as family relations gone wrong.
